Book Review of “Bark and Bagoo: Backyard Hullabaloo” by Junia Wonders

Suitable for readers aged 6 and up
One morning, Mr. Bagoo oversleeps by a full hour. As a result, the birds in his aviary don’t get fed on time. And hungry, caged birds, as you probably know, are very loud birds. This is not a good thing if you live in the middle of a quiet neighbourhood for this attracts the attention of the neighbours. And Mr. and Mrs. Bark next door are the most troublesome neighbours anyone can ever have… Bark and Bagoo: Backyard Hullabaloo is a hilarious story about two retired neighbouring couples, the Barks and the Bagoos. The Barks are jealous, mean and vindictive. They always want to outdo the friendly and good-natured Bagoos. But no matter how vindictive they are, their malicious actions always backfire. Meanwhile, the unsuspecting Bagoos who live next door simply carry on with their day, blissfully unaware of their neighbours’ distaste for them. The riotous must-read story is complemented by beautifully drawn illustrations painted in water colour.

Perfect for an evening of fun and laughter. It will surely elicit plenty of giggles for both the parent and child.

My Review:
This book should be read with changing voice and lots of action. Both parents and children will have so much fun with this one.

I am already a fan of Junia Wonders. She really does wonders with her books. This book is equally colorful and beautifully Illustrated. But this one has got more action than Boy and the Very Lost Pony.

Mr. Barks and Mr. Bagoo are neighbors. Mr. Bagoo is a happy go lucky guy whereas Mr. Barks is an ex-military man. These differences are enough to say how much Hullabaloo might be happening in their neighborhood.

It is a truly beautiful book with so much colours and pictures in it. The action in it also will help the kids to be hooked. Such a nice one.
