Book Review of “Click” by Lisa Becker

Blurb

Fast approaching her 30th birthday and finding herself not married, not dating, and without even a prospect or a house full of cats, Renee Greene, the heroine of Click: An Online Love Story, reluctantly joins her best guy pal on a journey to find love online in Los Angeles. The story unfolds through a series of emails between Renee and her best friends (anal-compulsive Mark, the overly-judgmental Ashley and the over-sexed Shelley) as well as the gentlemen suitors she meets online. From the guy who starts every story with “My buddies and I were out drinking one night,” to the egotistical “B” celebrity looking for someone to stroke his ego, Renee endures her share of hilarious and heinous cyber dates. Fraught with BCC’s, FWD’s and inadvertent Reply to All’s, readers will root for Renee to “click” with the right man.

My Review

“Click” was an amazing reading experience, an amazing book. It had a different approach of writing a story through series of mails. But with such a refreshing change. You cannot help but love every bit of it. I did not feel confused over any mails or the line. Loved the sync, the flow and the story line with its adorable characters. Not once did it go slack anywhere. The word play, jokes, tongue in cheek humor and slap stick lines are too good. The flirty ways in which the mails are written and the hilarious dare stories are truly amazing. Not one single thing to point out as a flaw. Nothing at all.

Every single person should try this series. Not only is this addictive but the out of the way manner in which the story is written is simply too good. It will be difficult to go back to conventional novels after this one. Raised the standards of my expectations so much with this book. Others might suffer unduly.
